Wendy Vaughan enjoys illustrating the softness of a rabbit's fur or the mischievous look in a cat's eyes. She places her beloved animals against a colorful, nontraditional backdrop. The animals shimmer, assuming a supernatural quality, at times, because of their magnificent surroundings.
